Thank you for visiting Vistry’s information hub for its outline plans for housing in north-west Nailsea. North Somerset Council allocated the site for residential development within its adopted Local Plan. Vistry control part of the allocated land, outlined in red below. On this part of the land, Vistry propose to build up to 150 homes together with a community recreation area, play areas and allotments..
The proposals look to deliver up to 150 new homes, including 30% affordable homes, through a landscape and ecology-led approach that retains 54% of the site as green space, providing a multi-functional new community parkland, with a mix of meadows and wetlands, orchards and allotments, play and recreational space, and extensive new tree and hedgerow planting. It would also deliver part of a new spine road (helping to improve connectivity around north-west Nailsea), and new pedestrian and cycling routes, allowing the site to be sustainably connected to the facilities of the town centre. Vehicle access would be from the creation of a new road off Watery Lane.
The below provides a summary of the proposals, a way to get in touch, leave feedback and register for updates.
